Well, all the characters are made in Illustrator, and imported in Flash. I never draw in Flash, because I never succeeded in dealing with this particualr way of drawing... :(
Thanx again, and see you !
Hi Joey !
Thanx for the kind words. Snap!shots of the Year has been made with Flash, and all the backgrounds are made with Photoshop.
If you wanna see, I put a little Making-of on my Behance Portfolio.
Hey, Joe, whaddya know? Great stuff here, really like what you've done with the place. Really like 'SuperSam and Spot'...reminds me of Keith Haring a bit. Well done, sir!
I do everything inside flash. Except coloring that Prikk in action drawing. What I usually do is draw a sketch with my wacom tablet using the brushtool, the take the line tool on a new layer and place the line where the bends will be. For example if its a curved line, I draw a straight line where the ends of the curve are, and then bend the line to conform to the curve i sketched. I also do a lot of tapering. After I have all my lines drawn, I convert them to shapes. After that I just curve and bend the lines how I please. For Ace & Aqua those are just straight lines, nothing more.
Hope thats what you were looking for. If I totally didnt answer what you were looking for, or if you had a specific question about a certain drawing i'll be happy to help!
Thanks for your remarks on my most recent work! Actually, my methods are kinda simple compared to the real deal: I just use both Windows Movie Maker and MS Paint to create videos like the prequel trailer, that's it. But what's important here is to make a compelling storyline as well as some editing skills (though I'm a bit irk at this recent clip) and most crucially, characterization. That's basically the ingredients for a good show; hope you learn that well from other talented artists and storytellers!
