As far as Doug's email goes i'm just going to have to wait until school gets started to see if its gonna rock or not. I do like the idea of being able to work alongside the sophomores and such. I'm also excited to see how this new teacher will challenge us. I like the idea of a community space but I feel like i'm still going to end up unofficially claiming a space. Too bad this corresponds with being left alone with my sister with a week (my mom's in Mexico for a week). Seriously, I don't know how to deal with this. I was never the girl who wanted booze, snuck my boyfriend in, or any of that teen-movie bullshit. Oh well, she's 18, so I don't have to worry about too responsible for her.

- I got a 6'/i.8m firewire. It's a 6 Pin to 4 Pin, but honestly I would call Best Buy before I ordered anything.
Make sure to keep the packaging in case you need to return anything!
Its a neat little camera, I hope it works out.

- It took me a while to find a a camera that worked, so I e-mailed Doug went with the one he recommended. It's a Samsung - MiniDV Camcorder with 2.7" LCD Monitor. It's only about $200 at Best Buy (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8682829&type=product&id=1198286370318).
It doesn't come with a firewire so you have to order that too.
So far it's worked really well with istop.
