Hi,
These are my last two illustrations, within each piece I have experimented with texture and washed out retro looks, whilst also trying to maintain colour value.
You can view bigger versions of each image within my artwork section here.

Hi,
After sketching lots of designs for my original scientist character, I decided to develop another one of them a little bit further and this is the result. You can view some further production notes on my external BLOG.

My online moniker has been "Jo The Zette" ever since middle school. She's a reference to Freakazette, a female counterpart to Freakazoid that was never used in the show. At the time, I thought it would be presumptuous to call myself Freakazette, as in THE Freakazette, so I took the "zette" and added a Jo to make her more my own. These days my avatar is that Cup-Head-Jo-girl-thing you see all over my site, because Jo The Zette is a little too fangirly to market me as a professional (and yes, in s…

I'm still trying to figure my way out around the site, but I just saw that, apparently, I have a blog here so I guess I might as well write some sort of intro post:
Hi.
My name's Conor, but I usually use the alias "Cognoman" (or "CogNoman") in art circles. I JUST DO, OKAY...partly because it's easier to spell than my full name, heh heh.
A few days ago, I started up my own website at www.cognoman.com . I run a webcomic there called "Cognomania". The comic is pretty random; I use it mainly as a…

There is Chuck Jones cartoon about a bored little Martian (not Marvin- a different one-hit-wonder Martian). I can't recall the title, but it was a really adorable cartoon. There was a lady Martian in it whose design was fantastic, but as my memory is very patchy, I decided to forgo trying to remember exactly what she looked like and just doodle something inspired by her.

Two new ones from me, in my final composition the two characters were both fighting for attention so I split them up into two seperate images.

I am currently participating with a bunch of other artists drawing from the Preston Blair book. I'm sure everyone here at RAW has their own copy. Drawing with other artists online is a great, and therapeutic experience for me. Keeps me focused on my goals. Check it out

I unexpectedly got a break from working today, so I decided to waste time a bit. A few years ago I realized I needed to get over my hated/fear of Flash if I wished to continue to eat, so I decided to acquaint myself with the program by bringing in an old school walk cycle pencil test and just drawing over it. The process turned out to be more grueling than I anticipated, so once I felt Flash-friendly enough I abandoned the project. Until today! Here she is, in all her cyclical glory.…
