For anyone who joins the group, feel free to post clips of anything musically you've been working on, collaborations, etc., etc. It'd be cool to see what we can get going on here.

how were you able to get such realistic violin sounds? and is there any way I can make stuff sound more realistic on GrageBand? Or do I have to have the $$ in order to get a better sound? If you have any tips or tricks, let me know :)

Ken you should post more of your stuff. Or maybe you do.. uhmmm....... okay

The easiest way to get realistic-sounding violins in your songs is to buy a violin and a decent mic, and learn to play it. Synthesized violins will never sound that good, and loops are pretty limiting.

If you're fine with just using loops, though, the GarageBand Symphony Orchestra jam pack is pretty good. (Or you can buy Logic, which comes with all the Jam Packs, and is much better than GarageBand although a bit harder to use.)

I did the soundtracks for Patrick Lake's "48 Frames of Brrrilliance" entries. Here's the "cat and snowman" one.

I'm also (very slowly and sporadically) working on an animated music video for one of my songs, though of course that's sort of the opposite process.
