Jerry Pose Revisited

http://technologicallimplants.blogspot.com/2008/06/very-cereal-post-super-cereal.html

Decided to visit the Jerry pose that I originally posted above, this time it came out even better. But not without error of course. Gettin' there though.

Jerry Geriatrics

The practice continued today as I worked again with Jerry from Tom and Jerry. Here we find Jerry with his hands behind his back, most likely wielding a blunt object to either smash Tom in the face with, or smash his fingers. It is hard to say.

He could also be itching his butt, I'll leave that for you to decide. Lots of errors in this one, but hey practice makes perfect. And well, no one will ever be perfect so I guess I'll always be practicing. I really have to pee. BYE

FUN!

Hey everyone, just wanted to post a little message to let everyone know I am pretty busy. I'm working on two large projects one I will keep to myself until the time comes (some of you may already know what it is), the other I want to bring up because it's pretty darn cool. I'm helping do art and animation for a web-based online game called Urbaniacs it is a funky super hero roleplaying game a lot of people will enjoy. The game is updated constantly with n… Continue

Afterthought..

So, to follow-up with my "Concerned" post, I realize now that I came off as a bit negative, and angry. I assure you that I'm quite the opposite, this issue had come to a head and my only way to vent besides just flat out quitting was to post it in a blog. I want everyone that reads this to know, that I believe that we've definitely got a huge opportunity here since a lot of us have hit some down time and we should start focusing on personal projects, and even collaborating together on projects.… Continue

Join the Revolution!

Frustrated with the industry? Seem like you aren't getting anywhere, or there aren't enough like minded individuals around for you to chat with? Or maybe you try to chat with them and they treat you like a gibbering idiot? If so, you might agree that its time for a revolution! Time to work together, lift each other up and shake off the negative experiences we've dealt with and move forward! Sound interesting? Join The Cartoo… Continue

Concerns

First of all, let me start off by saying that the following statement is merely a personal opinion. This isn’t something that I expect others to believe, nor am I forcing this opinion on anyone. If you feel the same way I do than great, if not, that’s great too. I guess at this point I could label myself an artist, I animate, I draw cartoon characters, and backgrounds but I’ve yet to really do anything on a professional level. I’d really like to get there someday, but it seems as though you re… Continue

Must've been my bloodthirsty Irish potato farmer ancestors who earned the family name! btw, I 2nd whut my pal Potato Farm Girl says: Don't let the busy or snobbish get ya down. Keep drawing and get your stuff out there whatever way you can.

... and you don't need to be earning a paycheck to be an artist. As long as you're creating, you're an artist.

Hey man.. I've actually only been to 1 life drawing class soo far. You can check the drawings out if you want. They're nothing impressive. I'm applying to Cal Arts so I'm working on Life Drawing skills for my portfolio. They want 80% to be life drawing so I need to work on that. http://frederatorblogs.com/stephen_studios/2008/05/18/life-drawing-p1/

Are you speaking of animation? if so it depends upon what you want to accomplish by going back to school. If you know the principles of animation, and the processes etc. and feel solid in your drawing (though we can all get more practice in that) I might recommend not going back to school. Spend the money on programs, books and supplies, and spend the time practicing, drawing, making animations etc. However if you feel you could learn a lot from school then I would recommend doing it. I have learned a lot. It won't hurt that I have a degree and can put that on a resume, but that won't get me a job my talent will, and school does develop talent. If you want info on what schools are offering these days I can help out with the experiences i'm having and have had at school. I'm here to help a brother out!!
