New Project, 3d Animation, Western Theme

Well it's been a while since I've posted on Frederator, and I'm glad to say I'll be posting more stuff soon. Currently, I'm working on a 3d Animation, which has a western theme to it. I'm in the process now of building the environment for it. Most of the modeling is completed, and images will be up soon.

It's been too long

Well it's been a while since I've done stuff on Frederator. I'm currently busy producing my new film, which is still in it's early stages. I'm making a lot of progress, and I hope to put it out sometime next month or so. We'll see how that goes. My summer is going well, and I'm relaxing from working on some films right now. Other then that, I'll be putting more stuff online soon.

I MET A DISNEY ANIMATOR TODAY

Today after I was finishing up working on my animation final, I met a Disney Animator by the name of Andreas Deja. This was a really cool experience. Andreas Deja was giving a lecture about his experience for working with Disney. Mr. Deja showed us some original sketches/model sheets, of the villains he worked on. Animation 101 and Life Drawing

The character is from an idea of mine called "What a Prikk" and it's a Comedy Central type of idea. Wouldn't se THAT on Cartoon Network ;)

I'm currently working on a 6 minute pilot episode. I'm acouple minutes in with the animatic but have more than halfway to go. I'm already past my deadlines :O.. It should be done by the end of October. Most wacom tablets usually come with Painter Essentials thrown in, which is a great little package and saves you paying big bucks for full Painter. Hope that answers your question.

At 2:35am on May 1st, 2008, Joshua Herron said…: pre-production just took a couple of days, mainly to figure out what I really wanted to do. I sketched up a story board and then just started dropping hammers to get it done. I guess there just wasn't a lot to my pre production mainly because i was working by myself and it was all straight ahead traditional 2-d. I started around the end of march and have just been straight up animating since then (between other classes and other projects of course. I have been trying to dedicate weekends to just animating.) Im just now finishing the initial animating and working I guess on "post production", but im really just cleaning up roughs.
